Obstetric disease
The disease is more common in puerperal women when they give birth to a baby. This disease is also called “Suvarog” (diseases after delivery).
The disease occurs when a woman does not go on a diet after childbirth and eats the wrong diet, eats the opposite type of food, and eats a faulty diet.
Symptoms of postpartum disorders
Puerperal women suffer from broken limbs, chills, fever, dry mouth and thirst, swelling, colic, diarrhea, loss of strength, and symptoms of Vata and Kapha (phlegm) diseases such as disorders and anorexia. Such symptoms are a nuisance.
Causes of postpartum disorders
Touching the vagina without hand disinfecting during delivery or touching the vagina by equipment in childbirth that used to without sterilized, can cause the disease.
It is desirable that the obstetrician or physician cleanse his or her clothing, equipment, and limbs with sterile water before delivery. If they have any oral disease, wear mask or tie a cloth over the mouth so that the defect does not touch the vagina through speaking saliva.
Even if the mother is unaware of the hygiene and does not keep the vagina and its surroundings clean, there is a possibility of this disease.
Vaginal fractures often occur during labour and wound there. Even through these wounds the fault can enter the vagina and cause disease. The vagina has a large center for spreading the defect, so it is important to take care not to feel the wound or the infection.
Some pregnancies give birth to a baby with a lot of effort and often the symptoms of fever etc. are seen when the vagina ruptures during these difficult times. Also, when the vagina ruptures, sometimes some part of it remains inside. This part rots and starts bad smelling and causes this disease.
Vaginal bad odor after the second day of delivery, discharge of clay-like discharge from the vagina, uterine critical, and swelling may be the cause of the disease.
The disease does not have uterine contractions and the fever appears to be much higher. If there is a chill first and then a fever, then a vascular examination can be done so that the condition of the postpartum woman can be known.
Vaginal discharge occurs in large quantities and sometimes this discharge stops completely. This secretion smells like rotten meat.
The tongue appears rough, dry, and shiny in the early stages of the disease in the early days. When the disease results in severe swelling of the abdomen, and bloody vomiting, The result is very bad.
If the disease causes diarrhea, its give smells bad and the patient’s condition is not good.
The disease becomes incurable if there is unbearable pain in the abdomen, swelling, colic on the uterus, windiness in the stomach, severe diarrhea.
If any disease occurs to the postpartum women during the 40 days after delivery, it is considered necessary to treat it as a congenital disease. These therapies are mostly related to Vata dosha.
Treatment
Drink to ghee in a hot decoction of dashmula (dashmula kwath). Arrange for the mother not to feel chills when the fever is high.
When there is a foul-smelling discharge from the vagina and there is a pain in the limbs, drink dashmularishta of one and a quarter (12.5 ml), and two tolas (20 ml) of solanum nigrum extract half an hour after a meal.
Dashmularishtha may not be like that Dashmulark can be given in its place or Devdarvadi decoction (kwath) can also be given. As well as Jirkadharishtha, Panchjirak Pak, Yavadi Yush, Saubhagyasunthi, Prasuta Rog Yush These all herbs are used in obstetric disease.
Lakhshadi oil or Bala oil or prasarani oil, take anyone’s oil and massage it all over the body.
Herbs for sedation into the vagina
40 tola (400 gm.) Green peel of caper berry
02 tola (20 gm.) small cardamom
02 tola (20 gm.) ocher
05 tola (50 gm.) Berberis aristata
05 Tola (50 gm.) Acacia catechu
05 tola (50 gm.) borax
Let all herbs be boiled in 4 ltr of water and let the water come down from the fire when 2 ltr are burnt and 4 ltr are left. Pour into a clean glass bottle, strained well after cooling.
Giving this water syringe into the vagina (giving vaginal sedation) eliminates the problems like foul-smelling discharge in the vagina, Infection (dosha) in the vagina, defects in the uterus, swelling, etc.
Examine the vagina of the mother and her inner and surrounding parts. If you notice any sores, boil, blisters, etc., first clean these parts with cotton. Then make an ointment of both of calabash’s leaf and symplocos racemosa herbs in water. Applying this ointment on the vagina and its parts, so soothes all kinds of wounds and vaginal problems.
Temperance
In the diet, old rice, Foods that increase digestive power, lentils, Vigna radiata’s soup, brinjal, radish, tritos cucunerinnas, etc. should be given.
Heavy objects in food, sharp drinks, sitting in front of the fire, working hard, etc. are not beneficial to the patient so stay away from it.
